The IRCTC website offers train tickets on a first-come first-served basis. You can autofill the form and and improve userr chances of getting a Tatkal ticket.
If user have ever tried booking an online train ticket on the Indian Railways website (irctc.co.in), user know the importance of time especially when user are planning to make a train reservation under the Tatkal* scheme.
Ticket Booking – Every Second Counts
The IRCTC website opens up for reservations at 8 AM and, unless user are an extremely fast touch-typist, the seats are often gone by the time user fill this passenger details form. The website operates on a first-come first-served basis so if user can fill the reservation form in lesser amount of time, it may improve userr chances of getting a train ticket.
That’s where Magic Autofill can help. It’s a simple online tool that will fill the passenger details form on the IRCTC website with the click of a button thus giving user an upper hand.
Here’s how the tool works. Go to ctrlq.org/irctc around ten minutes prior to the opening of the booking window and complete the form – its an almost exact replica of the form that’s available on the Indian railways website. Once user’ve filled the passenger details, hit I’m Feeling Lucky and the tool will generate a Magic Autofill button that user need to drag to userr bookmarks toolbar.
Now when user on the Indian Railways website to book tickets, just click the same Magic Autofill button on userr bookmarks toolbar and voilĂ ! The reservation form is filled automatically and user can directly proceed to the payment screen.
What happens behind the scene? You are essentially pre-filling a form and saving it as a bookmark. Next when user are on the actual form, user click the bookmark to transfer the previously filled values to userr new form.

Sometimes the IRCTC form may not have every field that’s available on the Magic Autofill website (say Food preference or ID details) and in that case, user can just ignore these fields on the Magic Autofill site. It’s always a good idea to do a test run and fill only the fields that are required for userr particular train.
[*] The Tatkal booking on the IRCTC website opens at 08:00 hours a day in advance excluding the day of journey from the train’s source station. You’ll also have to provide an ID number on the online reservation form of all passengers for Tatkal tickets.
